YOUR IMPACT The Investment Strategy Group is seeking an Associate to work in the Strategic and Quantitative Asset Allocation group (SQAA). Highly qualified Analysts and Vice Presidents may also be considered.
The candidate will join a team of researchers and technologists that designs cutting-edge investment strategies across global asset classes. In addition to working on managing existing product offerings, the new team member may also help with project management, client solutions projects and investment-related research. SQAA is an innovative and dynamic team, and this role requires patience, creativity, ability to multitask, attention to detail, as well as interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Investment Strategy Group (ISG) The Investment Strategy Group works with advisors and clients to help create an exceptional overall investment experience by ensuring that every client receives world-class investment advice that can help generate superior and consistent returns.
The Strategic and Quantitative Asset Allocation team within ISG is seeking an Associate to be a Portfolio Manager. This is a dynamic role that requires creativity and quantitative rigor. Impeccable attention to detail, as well as strong inter-personal and communication skills, is also a must.

- Deliver timely, thoughtful, and flawless executions
- Interact with the firm's current and prospective clients
- Provide a keen interest in understanding the financial markets
- Coordinate with other teams across Goldman Sachs
- Initiate and assist on investment research efforts
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR - A degree in a technical discipline such as mathematics, computer science, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, data science
- Intermediate experience in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++, Matlab)
- Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion to engage with clients
- Attention to detail, patience, and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborative and teamwork-oriented
- Independent, logical, and critical thinking, with the willingness to constantly think outside of the box
- FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses (may be obtained within the first 3 months if needed)
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent)

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
