This is a fully remote role with travel to paper mills in the region you are assigned based on your current geography.
Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and driving sales growth within the paper and pulp industry. You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities: - Prospecting and Lead Generation: Actively seek out and qualify potential customers within the paper and pulp industry, utilizing various prospecting techniques.
- Sales Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase our products and services, highlighting their unique benefits and value proposition.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their specific needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Negotiation: Effectively negotiate contracts and pricing terms to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Sales Reporting: Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to management and identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or sales management within the paper and pulp industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding expectations.
- Strong understanding of paper and pulp manufacturing processes and associated chemistries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive base salary of $120,000 - $145,000.
