Job Description

Under the general direction of the SVP of Policy Business Technology, the Staff Services Manager II Specialist will be responsible in building a high performing, proactive and engaged team of key Policy and related departments stakeholders in fast tracking and implementing specific artificial intelligence (AI) technologies such as machine learning (ML), natural language processing, and predictive analytics to improve internal and external effectiveness and efficiency. This includes technologies that help automate tasks, analyze data, and identify potential risks to assist with better decisions. In addition, the incumbent will be focused on leading cross-functional teams by assembling and guiding different expertise through solid change management and leadership skills to deliver quality services and product. This AI Business Partner will act as a strategic partner to Senior Leadership teams (i.e. Center of Excellence, Steering Committees, etc.) as well as their counterparts in OneAdmin and Claims, on policy formulation (new/ existing) as AI solutions are implemented.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities Include (see Duty Statement for details)

  • Apply core management skills that involve strong project management fundamentals, leadership, communication, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Facilitate and coordinate business requirements gathering and strategy development.
  • Navigate complex technical problems while ensuring the AI business plan and strategy stays on track, according to budget and delivers the desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leaders to oversee team resources to ensure capacity to accomplish business results.
  • Handle risks and potential frauds through risk management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Coordinate use case priorities and firm up scope of work.
  • Possess business acumen, Problem-Solving, Adaptability, Ethical Considerations and Agile Methodologies to explore their real potential and expertise.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in OneAdmin and Claims and work as a strategic team on AI initiatives that may be useful for not only the three groups, but the enterprise.
  • Identifying trends and issues and recommending action to appropriate parties.
  • Work with teams to ensure Change Management plans are developed for each AI implementation deliverable.
  • Other Desired Qualifications:
    • Relevant industry experience and knowledge of Underwriting, Policy Service, and Regulatory domains.
    • Experience in change management and facilitating adoption of new technology solutions within an organization.
    • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
