• Located in Astoria, NY, this is a full-time role that requires a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to work closely with patients to develop their social, cognitive, and behavioral skills.

Requirements

• Provide individual counseling and develop treatment/recovery plans.
• Facilitate therapeutic interactions to enhance patient skill development.
• Implement psychosocial interventions to manage urges and cognitive distortions.
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough case records.
• Establish and maintain relationships with patient referral agencies.
• Complete utilization reviews to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing.
• Minimum of two years experience in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program.
