Change & Release Manager 

The Change & Release Manager will govern all aspects of the software and infrastructure release lifecycle across critical banking platforms, ensuring controlled, auditable, and secure deployment of changes. This role plays a key part in protecting the stability of enterprise banking systems — including core banking platforms (e.g., Hogan, Voyager, Treasury Center) , real-time payment systems, digital banking channels, and regulatory reporting environments.


The individual must have deep experience in regulated financial environments , managing changes that impact large, distributed, and hybrid systems while maintaining alignment with SOX, PCI DSS, FFIEC, and NYDFS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end change and release management process for enterprise financial applications, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization programs.
  • Maintain and manage release calendars , coordinating across multiple application domains (e.g., payments, treasury, lending, fraud systems, digital channels).
  • Lead and document Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring appropriate business and IT sign-offs are obtained.
  • Implement and enforce segregation of duties (SoD), change window enforcement, and release gating policies in alignment with SOX and FFIEC guidelines.
  • Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to orchestrate CI/CD pipeline governance and rollback procedures across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud platforms.
  • Ensure traceability between change requests, approvals, and deployed artifacts through integrated ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Document rollback and disaster recovery procedures to minimize production impact during release failures.
  • Align release planning with critical financial processing schedules (e.g., end-of-day batch, payment cutoffs, quarter-end reporting).
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining change logs, approvals, and incident impact documentation.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual interventions, increase visibility, and support regulatory compliance.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years in enterprise IT change and release management, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL v4 or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience with regulated CI/CD release pipelines in hybrid and legacy environments.
  • Strong familiarity with PCI DSS, SOX, FFIEC, and NYDFS change control mandates.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira, GitHub Actions, Jenkins , or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with both technical and business executives.
  • Experience coordinating releases across critical banking functions (core, payments, risk, treasury, regulatory reporting).
