Job Description

HumCap’s client, a transportation consulting company with proprietary software solutions to support their clients, is seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to lead and scale their marketing operations. As a newly created role, the CMO will drive the transition from a third-party marketing agency to an in-house team while managing all aspects of the company's marketing strategy, from brand consistency to digital marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone skilled in both strategic planning and execution, with a focus on data-driven results. This is a remote position, but you must reside in the DFW area and be willing to do some light traveling.
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Drive brand awareness and ensure a consistent brand message across all channels.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities within the transportation industry.
  • Analyze social media trends and adjust strategies for improved engagement and results.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social, PR, etc.).
  • Monitor and measure the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize ROI.
  • Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing strategies.
  • Build and manage relationships with industry influencers, bloggers, and partners to amplify the brand’s digital presence.
  • Optimize website traffic and lead generation through innovative digital marketing strategies.
  • Develop and manage relationships with, marketing agencies, and other external partners.
  • Oversee public relations initiatives and crisis communications when necessary.
  • Create and manage marketing budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyze financial data related to marketing initiatives to assess profitability and performance.
  • Supervise and guide junior marketing staff or freelancers involved in digital marketing activities.
     
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in strategic marketing, digital marketing, and brand development.
  • Experience managing large-scale marketing campaigns and leading marketing teams.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to provide clear ROI metrics.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, particularly in B2B marketing.
  • Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and modern marketing technologies.
