Cook/Dietary Aide

Fairway View Neighborhoods seeks a Cook/Dietary Aide .

Cooks prepare and dish foods, according to the posted menu, that is attractive, timely, portioned correctly and uses standardized recipes.  Has working knowledge of the diets, uses proper portions, garnishes and makes appropriate substitutions. The Dietary Aide performs a variety of dietary activities including preparing foods, portioning foods, setting up trays, clearing tables, racking and washing dishes, pots and pans, maintaining a sanitary environment.

Additional duties include:

• Demonstrates understanding of procedures relating to food handling, dish washing, sanitizing work and eating surfaces
• Follows proper safety and infection control procedures in food and dish handling
• Demonstrates cooperation and team spirit when working with staff/residents/patients
• Works with others in the department and throughout the organization in a positive manner of those served and the department

This position will work 24-48 hours/pay period, with an alternating weekend schedule. Additional hours available during the week if desired
