Urgent need for a Correctional /Nurse Practitioner with our client, which is a male population Correctional Facility,

Job Location: Toledo, OH 43608
Shift: Day Shift
Duration of Contract: 6 Months + Extendable
Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs

Pay rate: $70/hr

Position Requirements:

Searching for a family or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner licensed to work in Ohio with at least one year of working NP experience in a primary care to provide on-site services full-time to the male population at this correctional facility.
Healthcare-professional level CPR certification
Ohio Medical License
Copy of Board Certification
ANCC Certificate
Drug Enforcement Administration certification.
US Passport or Naturalization card if born outside US

Job Duties in Order of Importance:

Provides direct psychiatric/mental health care, which may be done in person or via videoconferencing at any institution as the need arises (e.g., conducts mental health and psychopharmacological assessments, formulates mental health diagnoses and provides psychotropic medication management consistent with formulary, orders lab tests, may include care for offenders in crisis)
Prescribes medication as needed
Orders, interprets and analyzes laboratory reports and findings
Collaborates with medical services staff to ensure integrated care
Receives clinical supervision from collaborating physician on a regular basis
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities
Maintains clinical competency
