Job Description

Description We're seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines supporting advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives for a client in Watertown, MA. This role combines technical expertise with collaboration across IT and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and impactful data solutions. This role is onsite 4 days a week in Watertown. Responsibilities + Develop and manage data pipelines using Python, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory. + Optimize T-SQL code and database structures for performance and reliability. + Integrate analytics and machine learning outputs into business workflows. + Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards. + Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver solutions. + Support BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Server BI stack. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree preferred. + 8+ years in data engineering with strong SQL/T-SQL expertise. + Experience with relational and non-relational databases, ETL/ELT, and API design. + Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and ML frameworks. + Familiarity with NLP models (BERT, GPT) and experiment tracking tools (MLflow, DVC). + Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. + Cloud experience with Azure or AWS preferred.
