Location: Reading, PA Salary: $38.00 USD Hourly - $40.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Scientist
This position is hybrid in Reading, PA - MUST be able to commute to this area
W2 contract to hire position
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement optimization models for asset management, lease structuring, and contract renewals to maximize profitability.
- Asset management experience - Mathematical background - Need a problem solver
- Commercial Asset Management experience
- Breaking up the ML matrix
- Transform raw telematics and operational data into actionable insights using Catalyst AI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance, maintenance) to design data-driven products that improve decision-making.
- Build and maintain ML pipelines, Understand and build algorithms, break down and customize. Less standardized than ML
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling for vehicle depreciation, interest calculations, and lifecycle optimization.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of learning and innovation.
Required Qualifications - Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (Ph.D. strongly preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years in data science with a focus on optimization and predictive modeling.
Technical Skills - Python (expert level) and SQL
- Spark - PySpark
- AWS ecosystem
- Experience with ML frameworks and optimization algorithms
- Strong mathematical and statistical background; ability to design complex models beyond standard DS practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite in Reading, PA.
Preferred Skills - Problem solver - Asset Management Experience
- Experience in asset management, fleet optimization, or transportation industry.
- Ability to balance technical depth with product-oriented thinking.
