Southland Holdings is seeking an
experienced Equal Opportunity Officer to join our team in
Grapevine, TX. We are looking for someone with extensive understanding in Human Resources and US Labor Laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide information, technical assistance, and site training to supervisors, managers, and employees on topics such as employee supervision, hiring, grievance procedures, or staff development.
- Conduct surveys and evaluate findings to determine if systematic discrimination exists.
- Conduct site interviews of witnesses, alleged respondents, and complainants in the furtherance of an investigation.
- Prepare high-quality summarizing investigative reports and provide recommendations for resolutions
- Advise the Compliance and Risk Administrator on the status of ongoing investigations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, Board policies, and labor contracts related to EOCO laws and regulations
- Stay abreast of emerging government regulations and evaluate and recommend appropriate responses and changes to internal policies
- Update and maintain case files and records to report on the status of assigned investigations
- Ensure staff information and records are kept confidential and handled in compliance with all related policies and procedures
- Demonstrated superior ability to write concise organized, logical, and analytical reports to convey complex issues and exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult and sensitive employee situations with refined judgment while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data privacy laws and policies
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work effectively with minimal supervision while adhering to strict deadlines
- Performs additional ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Pre law or a related field (or appropriate experience).
- 5+ years of experience working with Labor laws, HR, EEOC
- Strong knowledge of equal opportunity laws and regulations, including EEOC guidelines and affirmative action requirements.

- Certification in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) or Diversity Management (desired)
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience in procurement, negotiation, and management.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting HR functions .
- Experience with EEO compliance withing the AEC industry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
