Position Summary

Jet Aviation is looking for a Flight Physics Engineer to join the Team located in Madrid (Spain). In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the aerodynamics performance, stability, and flight dynamics of modified aircrafts. As Jet Aviation's Flight Physics Engineer, you will use tools, simulations and testing to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance of designs. You will work with interdisciplinary teams, and you will contribute to daily operations and activities to ensure project results are met respecting budget, schedule, and quality targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize aerodynamics performance and flight characteristics of modified aircrafts.
  • Evaluate stability and control qualities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
  • Use tools like computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and simulation to support design and testing.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to balance performance, cost and structural integrity.
  • Analyze vibration and buffeting.
  • Analyze and mitigate aeroelastic effects such as flutter and divergence.
  • Support flight testing campaigns.
  • Perform trade-off studies to ensure designs meet mission requirements and regulatory constraints.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation to support design decisions and project milestones. Support certification process.
  • Participate in flight tests and the corresponding reports as required.
  • Comply with all established safety, certification, and customer requirements under the supervision of a Lead Engineer.
  • Participate in Engineering tools development defining methods and guidelines.
  • Participate as a team or project member for other projects requiring Engineering participation as required.
  • Provide Engineering Support as required. Perform other duties as assigned by functional or project Engineering management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical.
  • 5 years experience in Aerospace Industry and relevant field.
  • Experience in Aircraft Modifications, performance, and stability evaluation.
  • Extensive experience on CFD and flight physics.
  • Experience in vibration and buffeting, flutter and aeroelasticity.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, python or any other programing tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, forward thinking, and self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to manage priorities of the job effectively and efficiently.
  • Language Fluent in English and Spanish.
