Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of gas appliances. This role involves working with various gas systems, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Our preferred candidate will operate out of the Simcoe County (on site) and able to provide service to clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
• Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
• Utilize plumbing skills to connect gas lines to appliances accurately.
• Document all work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding gas systems.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various gas appliances.
• Must be able to read exploded parts diagrams and technician manuals.
• G2 gas license/certificate (proof required)
• Refrigeration certification
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and their integration with gas appliances.
• Ability to read and understand schematics for effective problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

This is a  FULL-TIME PERMANENT position. The hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with limited after-hours and weekend calls.
