Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in New York, New York. In this contract role, you will support various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to an efficient employee experience. This position is ideal for someone with expertise in HR administration and a passion for fostering positive workplace relationships. Responsibilities: - Coordinate onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the organization. - Maintain and update HR information systems to accurately reflect employee data and records. - Assist with employee relations by addressing inquiries and supporting conflict resolution efforts. - Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility for prospective hires. - Provide administrative support for HR functions, including documentation, scheduling, and communications. - Collaborate with team members to implement HR policies and procedures effectively. - Monitor compliance with company policies and employment regulations. - Prepare reports and presentations related to HR activities and initiatives. - Support recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings and candidate communications. Requirements - Proven experience in human resources administration or a similar role. - Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and data management. - Strong understanding of onboarding processes and best practices. - Knowledge of employee relations and conflict resolution strategies. - Experience conducting background checks and employment verifications. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
