Job Description

Wolcott Architecture is seeking an Interior Designer  with proven experience in interiors architecture design. The Interior Designer at Wolcott works with the Project Manager on several concurrent projects, ranging from medium-large scale commercial interior architecture scope to tenant improvements.

Experience Required :

• A minimum of 2-6 years previous design experience in the architectural/interiors field.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design required.

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, MS Office 365, Outlook and Teams
• Knowledge of fundamental aspects of interior planning and design, staff and space programming, furnishings, architectural materials, and construction costs.
• Capable of developing space plans with minimal supervision.
• Basic understanding of how to develop basic furniture specifications and schematic installation drawings, including systems furniture.
• Capable of preparing CAD-generated architectural working drawings with minimal supervision and oversight.
• Capable of presenting and communicating design concepts and ideas to internal team as well as to the client.
• Capable of selecting design finishes, understanding application, cost, and durability for specific jobs.
• Double checking all red marks prior to submitting for review.
• Awareness and understanding of project schedule, design fees, project budgets, reimbursable costs, etc.
• Basic knowledge of LEED/Sustainability design concepts and certification requirements.
