These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.This opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States.Qualifications:BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in landscape architecture, design and planningExperience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe AcrobatDuties:The enrollee is a project team member providing landscape architecture expertise on natural disaster recovery, conservation and outdoor recreation planning projects working with government agencies, non-profit organizations, tribes and community groups.Prepares written and graphic materials and designs, which may include conceptual drawings, site analysis, mapping, and writing, to communicate with partners, members of the public and professional audiences.40%Coordinates with local partners to provide site expertise, strategies and resources, for natural disaster recovery efforts, flood mitigation, and flood plain restoration.20%Assists with organizing and conducting workshops and facilitating meetings, both in-person and virtually, with project partners and community stakeholders.20%Plans and delivers presentation and communicates frequently with representatives of local, state, regional and federal planning and land use management agencies and private organizations.20%Other:Travel Requirements: approximately two nights per month; participate in meetings with agency representatives and site visits throughout New EnglandOvernight travel: approximately two nights per month; participate in meetings with agency representatives and site visits throughout New EnglandPhysical requirements: Job is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment. Site visits to project locations may include walking in undeveloped areas and on uneven surfaces.
