Job Description

Role: Lead Project Manager/ EPIC Lead

Location: LA/ Plano/ Atlanta(Day 1 Onsite)

Duration: Long term

Job Summary: The Lead Project Manager (EPIC Lead) is responsible for the end-to-end project management of complex projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves overseeing project teams, coordinating with cross-functional departments, and managing stakeholder relationships to achieve project objectives. The Lead Project Manager will leverage advanced project management skills to drive project success and contribute to the strategic goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution
  • Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Lead the execution of projects, managing all aspects from initiation to closure.
  • Define and communicate project goals, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  1. Team Leadership and Development
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, including assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and providing guidance and support.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth.
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including executives, clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Resolve conflicts and address issues to maintain positive relationships and ensure project success.
  1. Project Monitoring and Reporting
  • Monitor project progress, track performance against plans, and make adjustments as necessary to stay on course.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and budget forecasts, to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to ensure effective tracking and reporting.
  1. Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Proactively address potential issues and challenges to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Ensure that risk management practices are integrated into all phases of the project lifecycle.
  1. Process Improvement
  • Evaluate project processes and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance future project performance and efficiency.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the project management discipline.
  1. Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with organizational policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk logs, issue trackers, and change requests.
  • Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members and stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation through completion.
  • Experience with various project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in SAFe project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Jira Align).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a focus on delivering results.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project needs (if applicable).
