Bay Bluffs- Emmet County Medical Care Facility is currently seeking nurses with geriatric, end of life and/or palliative care experience. With a total team approach, we combine dedicated administration with an experienced professional staff to offer a variety of services and programs for our residents, ranging for short term rehabilitation to long-term and dementia focused care, and End of Life/Hospice care. Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psycho social, and environmental needs of residents

Assess residents’ conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review * Administer medication as prescribed by the resident’s physician * Provide effective communication to residents, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing * Current state license as an RN * Proof of current CPR certification * Compassionate, friendly demeanor * Excellent communication skills * Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprint process We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
