Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Swim Instructor. As a Swim Instructor at Mainline Health Fitness & Wellness, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality swim instruction to our members and their children through both private and group lessons. This position offers flexible hours and scheduling options, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking to share their passion for swimming while accommodating other commitments.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct private and group swim lessons for individuals of all ages and skill levels, focusing on water safety, stroke technique, and overall swimming proficiency.
2. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the needs and abilities of each swimmer, ensuring a personalized and effective learning experience.
3. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to swimmers to help them achieve their goals and build confidence in the water.
4. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to all facility and safety guidelines at all times.
5. Communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians to track progress, address concerns, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
6. Assist with the organization and promotion of swim programs and events, including swim clinics, swim camps, and special aquatic activities.

Qualifications:

• Extensive swim experience, including proficiency in various swimming strokes and techniques.
• Previous experience as a swim instructor or coach is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate swimmers of all ages.
• Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style, with a passion for helping others learn and succeed.
• Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).

Schedule:

• Flexible hours and scheduling options available, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
