Are you a detail-oriented medical coder with a passion for accuracy and a commitment to excellence? We are looking for a skilled Remote Medical Coder to join a supportive team where your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining the integrity of healthcare data within Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) across the Defense Health Agency (DHA). In this role, you'll utilize cutting-edge government systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms, including MHS GENESIS and 3M Encompass 360, to ensure precise and reliable medical coding.

Key Responsibilities:
Precise Medical Coding: Perform detailed and accurate coding across various healthcare disciplines, adhering to all relevant regulations and industry standards.

Government Systems Navigation: Use government computer systems to manage and code health records, supporting MTFs within the DHA.

Electronic Health Records Management: Accurately input, verify, and update patient records within EHR platforms, such as MHS GENESIS and 3M Encompass 360, or similar systems.

Compliance & Confidentiality: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory requirements to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of patient data.

Quality Assurance: Regularly review and verify coding accuracy, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and quality standards.

What We're Looking For:
Experience: 2-3 years of medical coding experience.

Certifications: CPC, CCS, or a similar coding certification.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in government systems and experience with at least one EHR platform (MHS GENESIS, 3M Encompass 360, or similar).

Attention to Detail: A commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all coding tasks.

Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
