Job Description

Role Summary: The medical office assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day support
operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service to
patients. Medical office assistants provide revenue cycle support, scheduling, patient
communication, and other key patient related services.

Responsibilities:
● Using the EMR to document patient clinical data (e.g., medical history and referral
information).
● Patient Registration
● Schedule appointments and procedures
● Answer and triage phone calls, follow up with patients, etc.
● Assist patients with initial paperwork.
● Accurately update and maintain patients' health records.
● Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or as dictated by
operational protocol.
● Assist patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues.
● Remote Patient Activities
● All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● 3+ years of Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant experience required;
pulmonology preferred.
● 2+ years of EMR experience required; Eclinical Works, preferred.
● Formal Medical Assistant or Medical Office assistant training, desired, CMA/RMA
certification preferred.
● High school diploma or equivalent required
● Valid COVID-19 vaccination desired
