Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level I trauma center, and Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, have an exceptional opportunity for a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon.

Our current team includes 12 orthopedic surgeons with subspecialties such as spine, orthopedic oncology, limb differences and length discrepancies, sports medicine, trauma, cerebral palsy, and neuromuscular disorders. We also have highly skilled physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse coordinators, orthopedic technicians, athletic trainers, support staff, residents, and fellows. Our physicians perform approximately 1,600 surgical procedures annually, while the pediatric orthopedic surgery practice handles around 34,000 outpatient visits across multiple locations.

The Nicklaus Children's Hospital's Orthopedic, Sports Medicine & Spine Institute is proud to be ranked among the top 25 nationally for Orthopedics according to U.S. News & World Report's 2024-2025 "Best Children's Hospitals" rankings. Reflecting Nicklaus Children's unwavering commitment to pediatric healthcare, the hospital opened the new Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower in September 2024. This five-story, 131,000-square-foot facility elevates the hospital's surgical capabilities, combining a patient-centered environment with cutting-edge technology. The Griffin Surgical Tower, located in the heart of the campus, features state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest technology and surgical teams.

Additionally, the Orthopedic, Sports Medicine & Spine Institute is preparing to relocate to a new 19,000-square-foot facility in early Spring, 2025 . This new space includes 18 exam rooms, three cast rooms, two conference rooms, and an imaging suite featuring two x-ray machines and a state-of-the-art EOS imaging machine. This new institute space represents an exciting milestone, as all Orthopedic, Sports Medicine, and Spine services will now be housed in one central location on the main campus and facilitate a more seamless experience for families and patient care.

Nicklaus Children's Hospital is located in Miami, Florida and offers all the advantages of a tropical, diverse and metropolitan community. Enjoy abundant sunshine and warm weather year-round with easy access to numerous recreational opportunities, cultural and professional sporting venues, and international travel.
