RESEARCH SECURITY OFFICE (UA-RSO-IUBLA)

The primary mission of the Research Security Office is to assure research security at Indiana University.

Indiana University Research Security Office seeks part-time security guards for the construction phase of its Applied Research Center (ARC), a secure research facility focused on supporting national defense research and development.

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES

Required

• Hold and maintain a valid national security eligibility determination (i.e., a security clearance) at the SECRET level or higher

Skills

Required

• Proficient communication skills

A person in this role must require the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods. Exposure to sensitive and confidential information requiring discretion and professionalism.

Attend paid training provided by IU Research.

This project will require ARC security guards beginning on or around August 1, 2025.

ARC security guards must provide their own transportation to and from the site.

Applied Research Center (ARC)

Approximately 9 miles from campus

$18.00 per hour

4 hour shifts

ARC security guards may work up to 29 hours per week
