Job Title: Private Music Instructor (Piano + Guitar)

Position Overview:
We seek a passionate and skilled Private Music Instructor specializing in piano and guitar. This role starts at $35 per hour for approximately 8-10 hours per week, with significant potential for increased hours based on the studio's growing demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide private music instruction for piano and/or guitar to students ranging from ages 5 to senior citizens.
• Teach students up to an intermediate level, ensuring they can read music proficiently.
• Develop individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each student.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Communicate progress and provide feedback to students and their families.
• Maintain a professional and organized teaching schedule.
• Adapt teaching methods to cater to the interests and goals of students, such as learning their favorite pop songs or exploring music composition.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in piano and guitar with the ability to teach up to an intermediate level.
• Ability to read music and teach music reading skills.
• Knowledge of chords and scales and the ability to improvise are a plus.
• A degree in music or persuing one in college now is highly preferred.
• Previous experience teaching music to a variety of age groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for music and a desire to share that passion with others.
• Creativity and the ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual student interests and goals.

Additional Information:

• This position starts at $35 per hour with an initial commitment of 8-10 hours per week.
• There is significant potential for increased hours based on demand.
• Opportunities may be available for remote teaching from your home if you have an adequate setup.
• Future opportunities for traveling to students' homes may also be available.
