Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with every weekend off! 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.

• Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications.
• Label portion with a supplied number of product labels.
• Set up packing and labeling areas as required.
• Perform end-of-day functions.
• Actively maintain, and merchandise partial cart.
• Keep the packing area cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
• Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Perform end-of-day functions.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

SUPERVISION:
The incumbent is not required to provide direct supervision for any position.


RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company.
External: The incumbent may be required to perform demonstration cuts or packing for tours, and the sales team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F. Incumbents must have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machine,y or other meat production equipment is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products preferred.
Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $22.00 and $23.00 hr. 

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.​​
