Role Overview
We are excited to invite a passionate Professional Learning Consultant to join our team! In this role, you will implement our professional development services in schools and districts, primarily focusing on our partners in San Jose, CA. You will work directly with educators to strengthen their teaching practices and enhance student achievement.
Your responsibilities will include delivering professional development workshops, coaching teachers, and fostering strong relationships with school leaders. Collaboration with administrators to establish and meet goals aligned with our educational framework will also be key to your success.
Contracts are assigned based on your availability and skills, and this position will involve work year-round, including during the summer.
Your Impact
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with school and district leaders.
Facilitate professional development workshops and coaching sessions that empower teachers to enhance their instructional practices.
Provide personalized support to teachers through classroom observations and constructive feedback.
Collaborate with teachers to set goals aligned with our framework and track their progress.
Share insights and experiences from the field to inform program improvements and communicate key findings with the team.
We seek someone who:
Is genuinely passionate about our mission to promote educational equity.
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Has at least 5 years of K-12 teaching experience and 3 years of coaching teachers.
Is experienced in delivering professional development and working with youth from underserved communities.
Understands the principles of Culturally Responsive Teaching and Social Emotional Learning practices.
Is proficient in leveraging technology to support instruction.
Can effectively manage a complex schedule and thrive in high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing school partnerships.
Expertise in working with English Language Learner populations.
Background as a school or district leader.
A Master's degree or higher in education.
Compensation
This role offers a competitive per-diem rate of $650-750, based on your experience in coaching or school leadership.
