The QA Art Technician is responsible for conducting quality assurance checks, identifying and reporting issues, ensuring compliance with specifications, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve QA processes.
Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on all aspects of artwork, including textures, models, rigging, animations, UI elements, and team deliverables within specified timeframes.
Identify and report submission inconsistencies, technical issues, and brief discrepancies.
Verify adherence to brief specifications, project guidelines, and client standards.
Ensure artwork complies with project standards and platform requirements (e.g., project specifications, engine limitations) and follows legal/regulatory guidelines (e.g., copyright, trademark)
Utilize proper pipeline-assigned tools to log and monitor art-related issues through resolution.
Provide constructive feedback and proactively escalate perceived issues to artists and project managers.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, issues, and resolutions.
Participate in regular team meetings and project reviews to discuss QA findings and solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure responsibility alignment and comply with company policies and procedures.
Proactively suggest and implement improvements to QA methodologies, tools, and workflows to enhance the overall efficiency of the QA process.
Work with Producers, Project Managers, Artists, and Technical Groups to ensure production pipelines in the studio's service lines are running optimally and efficiently.
Maintain collaborative relations with Engineering, Design, Art, VFX, QA, and any other discipline teams.

Participates in activities related to professional growth
Participates in department activities (Team Building, SWOT Analysis)
At least 2 years of experience working in 3D-related projects
Previous experience with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Shotgrid) and version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, AWS).
Experience with art development and technologies.
Knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and animation pipelines.
Proven experience in art quality assurance within the gaming, animation, or multimedia industry.
Strong understanding of art fundamentals, including composition, logical use of details, and visual storytelling.
Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.
