Job Description
Candidates must live in New York State. The position sits in Geneva, NY, but will be hybrid or fully remote. Training needs to be done on site for a period of 1 week, then may move to fully remote or hybrid.
Shift - typical days M- F, we can be flexible, the team usually starts by 8:30a.
Systems we currently use, exp is great but not required: Meditech, Medent, Lawson, PCC and Axiom , we a transitioning to EPIC in the coming years. Exp with EPIC would be great as well.
* EXCEL however, is a firm requirement.
Experience:
Minimum: Three years experience with charge master principles and the relationship to coding, billing, compliance in a hospital setting. Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, CMS regulations, HCPCS, ICD-9 and UB Revenue Codes with the ability to effectively interpret, communicate and educate others. Excellent communication, analytical and computer skills.
Preferred: Medical record coding or patient accounting experience.

Effective writing skills for policies, procedures, external and internal communications. Data entry skills CDM entries and/or file corrections
Responsibility:
Responsible for maintaining, updating, and assuring compliance for Charge Master data. Acts as team leader for special projects. Recommends and coordinates the use of consultants for specialized activities. Conducts and/or oversees data entry of Charge Master revisions.
