Job Description

Position: Transactional Real Estate Attorney

Location: Baltimore

Firm's Focus: The firm specializes in market-rate commercial real estate development with a focus on commercial leasing. They have a prestigious client portfolio that includes industry leaders and are seeking to further expand their client base.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise associate attorneys within the real estate practice area.
* Negotiate and manage complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and debt and equity financing.
* Represent various stakeholders in real estate projects, including developers, owners, lenders, and equity investors, across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
* Develop expertise in low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, new market tax credits, and condominium and homeowners association matters.

Qualifications:

* A minimum of 8+ years of solid real estate experience.
* Proven experience in supervising legal teams within the real estate practice area.
* Proficiency in negotiating and executing complex real estate transactions.
* Track record of representing developers, owners, lenders, and equity investors in various real estate projects.
* Familiarity with low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, new market tax credits, and condominium and homeowners association matters.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree and Maryland state bar admission.

Position Type: The position offers the potential for Partner status or a quick transition from Counsel to Partner. The firm emphasizes that they have only one type of Partner, which is an Equity Partner, and they do not have a Non-Equity Partner model.
