Job Description

The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Structural Engineer with S.E. credentials, for an immediate role in our client’s facility near Peoria, IL. **COMPENSATION NOTES***

TOTAL COMP for this position is $158,000- $200,000 broken down as follows:

• Base salary of $115K-$145K (based on experience)

• The average annual bonus has been 38%-40% over the past 5+ years plus added 401K match

• $4,000 educational credit for yourself

• Additional $2,000 educational credits for your spouse and EACH child!

RELOCATION STIPEND: The client offers a VERY GENEROUS relocation stipend for those moving to the area.

 

Overview:

You will be responsible for designing all aspects of our metal building systems, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing. Duties will include but aren’t limited to:

• Creative Design: Develop safe and economical structures that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards. Each project is unique!

• Technical Analysis: Utilize our proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.

• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the Detailing Department and other team members to communicate design requirements effectively and ensure seamless project execution.

• Oversight: Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.

• Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities to grow and develop as an engineer, collaborating with various teams throughout the division to find innovative solutions and explore unique career paths within our organization.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.

• Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC 358, ASCE7, AISI, etc.

• Structural Engineer (S.E.) registration in the United States with the ability to be licensed in Illinois.

• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.

 

Outstanding candidates will also have the following:

• A background in Engineering in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building Industry.

• Proficiency with some type of metal building design (MBS) software package.
