Founded in 1909 and affiliated with the Episcopal Church, The Bishop’s School is an independent, all gender college-preparatory day school for 800 students in grades six through twelve. The School is located on a historic campus in the heart of La Jolla, just 10 miles north of downtown San Diego. With a student-teacher ratio of approximately 9 to 1, Bishop’s is known for academic, artistic, and athletic excellence while celebrating character development, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The Bishop’s School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Varsity Tennis Coach to start in February 2025.Summary Description:
The head coach will lead and develop student-athletes in our varsity tennis program. Throughout the boys’ varsity season in the spring and the girls’ varsity season in the fall, the head coach will be responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of varsity tennis practices and competitions, fostering individual skill development and team unity, and upholding the School’s mission and core values in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, highly organized, and self-directed individual who can effectively multitask and handle a variety of matters independently in a professional, trustworthy and mature manner with tact, diplomacy, and appropriate judgment.
