Selformer is a boutique Pilates studio committed to providing our clients a personalized, family-style atmosphere. We offer a range of Pilates classes, including Reformer and Mat and Props sessions, tailored to meet our diverse clientele's individual needs and goals.

Job Description:

We seek a passionate and experienced Reformer Instructor to join our team at Selformer Greenpoint and at our new location in Willimsburg.. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Pilates principles, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to help clients achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and nurturing environment and creativity. We are not one's ordinary pilates studio.

We accept teachers at all experience levels, including teacher training program instructors seeking to complete their teaching hours requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct group mat and Reformer Pilates classes as scheduled, ensuring a safe and effective workout for participants of all fitness levels.
• Provide individualized attention and modifications to meet each client's specific needs and goals.
• Create well-structured and engaging Pilates sessions focusing on proper alignment, breath control, and core strength.
• Educate clients on the benefits of Pilates and assist them in developing a consistent practice.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Reformer Pilates instruction from a reputable program (e.g., Balanced Body, STOTT Pilates, BASI Pilates).
• Strong understanding of anatomy and movement mechanics, with the ability to effectively cue and correct clients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages and fitness levels.
• CPR/AED certification (preferred).
• Availability to teach classes during peak hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
